Building His Kingdom Here

Building. Foundational structure firm on Christ. Buildings beginning to form in the builders' eyes. Plans being finalized for the beginning of the project. My heart grows with it. Hammers form and weld my heart to be all that He has created me to be. Mistakes are made, but we tear them down and begin again. A big project that requires God, other people, me, and two very important ministries to my heart.

S.O.S. - Save Our Sisters. (saveoursisterstoday.com) I have gone through my middle/highschool years with this ministry. Speaking on behalf of the voiceless captives who are enslaved to the horrors of sex slavery. They try to speak, try to raise their voice so they can stop this horrible crime, but they cannot. The devastating reality of this illegal trade has really hit home for me.We are working with another organization (Choose Life) and Emmanuel Baptist Church IN a very small country sandwiched between Romania and Ukraine. Our hope and dream is to build a house for victims of sex slavery there in Moldova. To actually free these slaves. The land has been bought for a camp to be built there (it will include the home). But we are just building. The grading of the land has begun, but we are just building. Building our prayers, our hopes and our dreams for what the plans for this house could hold.


Orphans are very near and dear to my heart, and last year, I got to travel to Uganda, East Africa with Sozo Children (sozochildren.org). We stayed in a children's home that houses now-hopeful orphans. The way they show Jesus in everything they do is incredible. They have taught me so much just by their lives, and I am so thankful that I get to return to Uganda this summer (July 4-17). Sozo is growing rapidly and with that comes change. Sozo has also found land that will house all 3 of the children's homes that they operate in Uganda. They will also have a church, a clinic, and many other things that will help and reach out to the villages surrounding this small village. The village project. Again, building on hopes and dreams that we have for these kids and the potential relief it could bring them. I am humbled and amazed at how quickly God is moving through this ministry.

What a coincidence that of every ministry in the world, the two that I am involved with are building many buildings, on a big plot of land. Or is it a coincidence? What is He trying to teach/ do in and through me?

My God is a great God. Even reading those facts should blow you away about how He is working. His plans are perfect. They are so sovereign and Holy and bigger than anything I could ever have thought of or planned.

I believe that the building won't stop with these projects though. He is building in my heart. Teaching me what it is to be a believer. Knowing that I can never know enough about God or be good enough. He is always teaching, moving. Let me move with Him. Let my feet swiftly walk, or run even, as He works through the two closest things to my heart.

He is building His Kingdom here. And as the master Craftsman, Framer, Electrician, Plumber, Painter, Designer, and Landscaper does what He is best at, let us open our hearts so that He can do what He is best at in our hearts here and now. Let Him physically and spiritually build His kingdom here. Be blown away by His majesty and awesomeness.

Also, please be in prayer for these ministries as we attempt to build His Kingdom here. Its time to respond to His call so that we can further fulfill the commission He gave us. It is time to make, multiply, and mature the disciples of A L L nations.

Stubborn man given NEW life in a matter of minutes.

There is power in the name of Jesus. I have never seen it like I did that day. It was our free day, with not much to do. Earlier, we had passed a big hindu temple on the side of the red hills, and then into a small village that looked untouched by the mzungus. Some of the team had mentioned how it would be really interesting to go to that village for a day, so we went! As we climbed out of the too-small-van onto the staining dirt roads, we prayed for His will to be done. Whatever it was, to let Grace fall on these people. And it did. It was like fire spreading. And it was fire spreading; we dispersed immediately in all directions, carrying the news of redemption, salvation, life with us, hoping to give it away. Goodbye 'Murica, Hey Germany!

If you know me at all, you know I love to travel. What an adventure I am about to be a part of! I graduated high school in December (2014). I made that decision in September to finish early because I had enough credits and then I was hoping to travel somewhere or get an internship somewhere local/domestic in the Spring semester (2015). However, I just kinda put it off because it was so far in the future. I met with our missions pastor at Calvary to see what opportunities were available. I wanted to serve the church and not just do what I wanted to do. He mentioned missionaries that Calvary had in Lebanon, Germany, Calgary, and India. After prayer and consideration and a couple emails, we decided that Germany would be really feasible to pursue because of a missionary connection that our head pastor had with the church planter there.
